I have no problem with people being like "yay the asshole is dead" in the privacy of their own homes.

I just think it's very, very unseemly to go to Times Square, start drinking heavily and chant "USA! USA! USA!"

It's not something a civilized gentleman or lady would do.

I think this is part of the reason there is so much jubilation on Facebook that, taken as a whole, seems inappropriate -- people think of their Facebook as their own homes, but to other people it feels like Times Square.

ya know, I keep seeing the words 'civilized' and 'dignified'... you've forgotten, there isn't a lot of that over here :)
