For The Record... ...I had forgotten that pretty much everyone at Arisia has an LJ, and I wasn't really intending to play the whole "Guess who Ferrett had some hypersensitized connection with?" So if you don't know, it's probably not you, though you can feel free to email me privately to ask if you're not sure. But it doesn't happen if I met you for five minutes or were talking over dinner in a crowd. That'd be creepy.
It's a very specific circumstance, and what surprised me about Arisia is that it happened not once, but with multiple people. It's not like I have these sorts of visions all the time, so you don't have to worry about this sort of thing if we're yakking over drinks at a party. Usually, I'm just happy to be talkin' to people.

So, what you're saying is, is that you're hitting on me?
Weird. I was not at Arisia, but clearly you were writing about me. And every woman on LJ ever.
Duh.
;)
(For the record, Wordy McWord on your previous post.
Last week I ran into a dude with whom I had a similar experience about two years ago. I hadn't seen him since 2005, and yet when he walked in, my heart raced like it never has done for any other person before. In another dimension, he and I had a powerful affair. But not in this one.) I was pretty sure it wasn't me.
I mean, aside from that I wasn't at Arisia. And that we've never met. And your use of feminine pronouns seemed pretty indicative. My post looks like its subtext is This guy makes stupid HTML errors when really its subtext is I wouldn't even have thought of making this post if I didn't have a headcold. It was me. I know it was! It must have been my fascinating topic of Infusions of Grandeur.Don't worry. I won't tell anyone. ;) I was gonna stop by your journal later today for that link, 'cause it sounded cool. And you just gave it to me!
Teh Awesome! It was me, and all this talk of it being a girl or someone at Arisia or someone theferrett has met is simply misdirection. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/3152718/19930) | | From: | xiphias |

Hey; something just occurred to me that I forgot to ask you: are you related to Charles Proteus Steinmetz? Realllllly distantly. Actually, I'm a third cousin of George Lucas, which is my true celebrity connection. And yet, as a cousin and as someone who presumably likes sci-fi, you couldn't Do Something About Georgie? For shame. I was waiting, from my commentary that I met you this weekend, for someone to assume it was me and OMG the comic DramaZ!!! Oh God no. We argue enough over characters! *g* FWIW, I *didn't* assume it was me -- not from any residual low-self-esteem, but because while we definitely clicked, I didn't get a sense that we clicked in that way -- at least not during the short period of time which we actually got to talk. ;} Hey, I'm not saying it couldn't happen. But you're right - the short amount of time was the sadness.
I would have liked more time to hang out. It was fun while we did. But man, was that night chaotic. (Not that any con on Saturday night is different, really. I usually reserve Friday for bonding. *g*) ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/58466088/53909) | | From: | weds |

Clearly, it was the moment when you got your nads punched.
Twice. I know I was in love.
I've been telling that story aaaaall weekend. It was awesome. My God, I've been quoting "Albequerque", specifically that line, constantly for the last 2 weeks. Dont ask why. hahahahaha I had half a mind to sneak it into my wedding vows ;) |
