Rowling's an unstoppable juggernaut- and I say that as someone who will be acquiring the seventh book just after midnight. ;) There isn't a transcript on his thoughts on the matter, is there? I'd be fascinated to hear it.

I've never seen such a transcript.

However, a quick google serendipitously turned up http://www.greenmanreview.com/pratchett.html which looks like it might be very worth getting.

The closest I know of his thoughts on the matter are
1) "I don't know why everyone expects me to hate J. K. Rowling. It's very strange."
2) "Why doesn't/didn't J. K. Rowling think she writes fantasy? What on earth does she think she's writing?"

I meant more his thoughts on the reaction of the literary press who have basically ignored him for the last 30 years.
