That's really good advice.

Being one who doesn't dress up much, and isn't incredibly curvy to begin with, I don't get a lot of comments. Which means that when I do, I have little to no idea how to deal with them.

I always try being polite and friendly first. That can also be very effective. I was walking down a back alley one time, dressed for dancing (so, pretty provocative) when a group of drunk frat boys came up behind me and started joking with each other about dragging me off to some party or somewhere. I pretended I hadn't heard them, and asked them politely for directions. They immediately got really sweet and escorted me back to me club, to make sure nothing bad happened to me.

Guys are weird.
