How You Can Tell A Weasel Is Busy Yesterday, 5:00 p.m.: The Ferrett heads to the EBWorld across the street to pick up the PC version of Knights of the Old Republic II (which was the #5 item on his Christmas Greed list).
Today, 11:35 a.m.: The game still sits in the box, in the chair he laid it in when he came home, still in the white plastic bag he bought it in.

Blasphemy! *whimpers for the poor game* At least take it out of the bag and inhale the scent of freshly perchased electionic goodness. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/7390637/1242934) | | From: | zhent |

I boght the same game yesterday at 4pm (CST) and played it until 11:30 last night....
IT ROCKS! Your self-restraint is admirable. Regardless of what I was doing, I'd have played it immediately upon returning home. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/20099079/242995) | | From: | batshua |

Seconded. I'm sorry for your loss--obviously a close friend of family member passed and that is the only conceivable reason... ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/8609146/1482585) | | From: | wjf |

I am going to buy that game this weekend. However, as long as I'm playing World of Warcraft on a daily basis, I'm not likely to get into KOTOR2 for a while.
I just want to have it available when I'm ready to start playing it. Agreed! I'm hooked on WOW currently, too. Server? ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/8609146/1482585) | | From: | wjf |

I am playing on Kargath, 33rd lvl paladin named Cassen. Erin knew I was really sick a few weeks ago when she came home and found me collapsed in the bed and a large box from the Science Fiction Book Club sitting unopened on the dining room table. | | Bad Ferrett, no Cookie | (Link) |

Ok, I'm reporting you to the Game Abuse Commission. Or something. Heh. - I feel your pain.
Me? to make the gaming experience better I would have bought a new video card with the game. But I would have waited till the weekend to actually install it - too busy working and all. And upon finally having time to install the new video card - spend several hours loading drivers, installing, patching and updating - only to have the game crash after exactly 3 min ever time. Then spend a weak - uninstalling / reinstalling, reformatting the hard drive, checking memory. All to have the game crash, but in a new way (now after exactly 5 min) Finally spend a second weak researching - only to discover the video card I bought was NOT compatible with my motherboard (AGP x2, x4 and x8 are very different voltage wise. I don't know how the card worked at all!)
Finally - reinstalling the original video card - to find it runs just fine! Wahoo!. Then updating drivers - and kill the video card completely. (ARGH!) Spend 3 more days trying old drivers till I find one that works. (stupid, stupid, stupid)
Well at least that is what I did with World of Warcraft. Got the game the night it came out.... only to wait almost a month to start playing. (while everyone I knew was having a good time) If I had the cash I would have just bought a new PC after day 2.
Lessons Learned? If it an't broke don't fix it, A little knowledge is a dangerous thing (in my hands), Back away from the computer and no one gets hurt.
Hope you get to Knights ASAP! :) ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/25170143/5596069) | | From: | 5iv3 |

I know.
*happy sigh* It gets worse: I thought about playing it at 1:00, but then I had to run out and buy the woman I loved some All-Bran cereal so she could eat healthy.
How pathetic is that? ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/60389321/376963) | | From: | warmage |

Not pathetic at all - it beats being 15 minutes into a campaign and having to go out *right now*, with tapping foot and stern jaw to accelerate you out the door, to acquire aforementioned cereal... Nah. I'd told her that I wouldn't do it today, right before she left for work.
Thus, no rolling pins are involved. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/82771973/446406) | | From: | zoethe |

Relax, relax. It just heightens the anticipation - like buying lingerie (or similar) for your lover two weeks before $occasion instead of the day before, like a typical dude does. :) I bought mine on XBox before Christmas and it still sits unopened. At least I got it out of the bag, though. I understand and feel your pain. Group hug! | From: | (Anonymous) |

"Halo 2" still sits unopened on my shelf, and I pre-ordered it.
-1em Don't worry, one swift injection will make it ALL better... ooooooooooh that happens to me sometimes and then some days later I spot the bag and say "what is happening to me!!!!!!!!" and I curse grown-upness yet again.
stupid adulthood. stupid adulthood
Seconded. Like nobody has ever seconded anything before! |
