The Watchtower of Destruction: The Ferrett's Journal - Two Notes

That's as may be. Doesn't bother me much, not having read the book. It works within context of the story told in the movie, and that's fine.
Ah. Your original comment made it sound like you'd read the book, and was praising the movie for capturing the feel of the book (which it did fairly well, actually). I went back and read it, now I see what you really meant ("a" novel, not "the" novel).
"A" dildo, not "your" dildo.
In the context of your original post, it's ambiguous, since even though you used "a novel" and not "the novel," the sentence it's in has a generic feel.
You could either note the ambiguity that you may not personally see, or you can mock the messenger. Your choice. :)
(And if the dildo line is some reference that I'm not getting, well, I'm not getting it.)
It's from the movie.
It's airline policy not to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We use the indefinite article: 'A dildo.' Never 'Your dildo.'
Now that you contextualize it, I do remember it.
