I Am Legend: Try It Again
Remember when I said that I Am Legend was three-quarters of a good movie, with a last quarter that felt recycled and tacked on?
Well, watch the original ending.
If that had been released, I would have said it was ninety-nine percent of a good movie, with a last fifteen seconds that didn't bother to acknowledge the moral complexity it had raised. And yeah, it probably would have been less satisfying for the punters, because this was neither fish nor fowl - a more ambitious end segment with a less satisfying end note.
Anyway, go watch before someone yanks it down.
