The Legacy Of Harry Potter

| | There's another series that kind of grows up with you if you started at the right age for it, buffy the vampire slayer. the first couple years are based on goofy highschool stuff and romance stuff with seeing who people really are. Then the third season is where you realize you're in your last year and need to start thinking about what comes next and one last final moment with everyone together. Then there's the uncertainty of college/university and dealing with that. Followed by deciding what's really important and having to get a job and take care of things and then there's season 7, yeah good luck with the metaphor there. I would say season 7 is about learning to be a leader/teacher and kind of be able to put your own personal issues on the back burner while you do what needs to be done for the younger/less experienced who are relying on you. There's also a really strong element of making peace with the past and forgiveness (and, ultimately, moving forward). It's really mature in a lot of ways. Oh, definitely. I was one year behind Buffy in school, and found a lot that resonated because of where I was in life. I own the whole thing on DVD, and I don't own very much on DVD. It really isn't aging especially well, though. |
