The Hunger Games: A One-View Wonder?

| | Not sure. Titanic had tons of pretty things in it, where you got swept up in beauty. The Capitol's just kind of creepy from the get-go. Though maybe Teh Kids like it a lot. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/83678991/288368) | | From: | kehrli |

I don't know, the Capitol is awfully pretty. And I'm not sure lining up in designer suits to watch poor teenagers beat the hell out of each other is actually that much more creepy than hanging out in fancy clothes eating fancy food while poor teenagers starve and eventually drown under your feet...
I didn't think Titanic was incredibly creepy when I was 13, but I do remember seeing it at least four times in the theater, even though it was a ridiculously long movie and I had to use my own money to buy the tickets. I'm not sure I wouldn't be creeped out by it now.
I do think that the initial comment got it slightly wrong though:
Never underestimate the power of teenage fascination with horribly morbid stuff. |
