| | In the early years of being poly, I occasionally did say stuff like this to my wife. What she said was: "Sorry, I can't give that to you. That's not the way I express how I care. Is that a dealbreaker for you?" And after much wrestling with that and other issues, I decided it wasn't. But yeah, I can relate to what you're saying.
