When I came across this on Facebook, I gave up watching about halfway through--when I realized the dad was *serious* and wasn't in this for laughs. If he had been doing this humorously, and for fun, it might have been fun, but as it was, it just seemed like airing your family dispute for the whole world, and, yeah, like whining. "He makes me make all the beds!!!" "Nuh-uh, I only make you make your bed and sometimes the guest bed, you lazy brat!!!" What is that? Why ... do that?

I felt embarrassed for the dad. And yeah, I agree with what you and your wife say.
