The Usual Christmas Post, Part 1

I ask every year at Christmas: If you’d like to get me an inexpensive gift that will nevertheless make me do little happydances of joy, feel free to post cheesecake pictures of yourself in the comments here. (Alternatively, if they’re spicy or you’re shy, mail ‘em to me at theferrett@theferrett.com.)

(And as always, every year I do this, some guy goes, “Oh ho, here I am! You didn’t expect this!” and posts a picture of himself. And it’s true that I’m straight, but a) I like seeing pictures of people anyway, b) I’m never shocked by photos of guys, and c) as far as I’m concerned, posting cute pictures of yourself where attractive people – potentially girls – can see them is usually a good idea. So it’s like whoah, you sure are alternative, buddy.)

Seems a shame that this post is unadorned at almost 11 PST, which gives me the urge to kick the party off. because that's just how my brain works. Plus, in the vein of your "good for the goose, good for the gander" philosophy, if I'm going to peek and see if there are any pretty ladies here, it's only fair to let them see me. :)

So, my knitting group online does an annual yarn-themed cheesecake calendar. One of the shots that came out of the shoot was:



This did not end up in the calendar - the better shots included a partner in crime, but since I'm the only one in this shot, it's the shot you get. ;)

Agreed with the others... definitely pretty... and my knitter friends would appreciate the shawl too... Also pretty. I'm kinda partial to red & black anyway :) Still working through a backlog of posts...
