FFT does have an incredibly complicated plot. You CAN play it and ignore the plot, but you're really missing out on a huge chunk of the game, since there isn't a whole lot of "exploration" going on.

I love FFT. It's my favorite video game ever.

I mostly just like developing my characters and training them. I don't really care so much about exploring. Though I do kind of wish I could follow the plot.
