Marxism has some pretty solid abstract principles. Sounds kinda nice in some ways. But they don't work. You can tell by the way adherents insist the problem lies in the people, not the ideology.
Likewise, you have some solid abstract principles. And people have, throughout history, abandoned them whenever possible. That should tell you something. No. Reality counts more than abstract principles.
Except, of course, when that reality is an abstract principle.
