Suit Up! One of my favorite shows is Ted's Amazing Doucheosity How I Met Your Mother. In it, Barney (who is obsessed with suits) loves to play laser tag. And so, when I went to play laser tag on Saturday night with a bunch of HIMYM-loving friends, I had no choice but to suit up!

This is actually one of my favorite photos taken of me recently. I'm thinking of making it my default author photo. Go figure.
Further proof after a very sweaty session - laser tag in a suit is very hot:

| | I love this!
My daughter and I actually did this very thing a couple of Wednesdays ago, when it was "International Suit Up Day" according to some Facebook thing. It was extremely sweaty but a ton of fun; we plan to make it a regular habit.
I wonder if Barney and HIMYM are causing laser tag arcades everywhere to see the suit-up phenomenon. Perhaps we are heading to a world in which jacket and tie could be required attire for laser tag! ;)
I wondered myself, but no one seemed to get it. No worries, though. As long as I did. None of the PASSERBY, silly. The last time I went laser questing (in Stockholm, last weekend, as yer do), I went in a black T-shirt and STILL came out sweating buckets. I really ought to make it part of my keep-fit routine. If I had one. and I think I've been with bijziend to that Laser XTREME arena. In Cleveland? Cleveland! Next to a Krispy Kreme and a Rodeo Mexican restaurant. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/99678820/208448) | | From: | aiela |

H and I were DYING when you sent me those pics. That is totally awesome. I love the fact that everybody hates Ted. I love the show, but I swear to god, I spend 50% of my time yelling at the other characters to inquire as to why they are friends with that wibbling asshat. (I spend 40% of the time wondering how the show is going to get around the fact that obviously The Mother is buried in the basement, what with Ted spending countless hours chronicling his romance with their aunt to the kids, and 10% just loving on Barney, Lily, and Marshall). That said?
AWESOME pictures. I especially like the last one: it has a nicely twisted Rockwell feel to it. I know they're hell-bent on having The Mother be the last thing we see in the show, but I'm not convinced that's going to be satisfying at this point. | From: | (Anonymous) |

Of course it won't be satisfying; McGuffins never are.

For some reason I'm reminded less of Barney and more of that recent episode of Castle with the steampunk club. Never seen it. Don't watch Castle, sadly. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/99678820/208448) | | From: | aiela |

Mad props. :)
And incidentally, I kind of identify with Ted. I didn't realize he was such a contentious character. I don't mind him. He's an excruciatingly unpleasant person at times, but so're Lily, Robin and Barney. And probably Marshall, too, I suppose... ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/783260/408860) | | From: | etain |
