You're wrong. The studies measure along the top since this is not a question of measuring testicle size as well. If you have big balls, you have a smaller dick; that's not the measurement, especially since ball size can change with the heat.

Now, an argument for "effective length" could probably be made, but that's not how Masters and Johnson do it.
