Mindfuck: When You See It, You'll Shit More Bricks There is a subset of Demotivational Posters called "Mindfuck," which present an innocuous-looking image with the promise "When you see it, you'll shit bricks." Some of the images have weird, creepy shit that only appear when you look closely. Others, on the other hand, are just normal images and the mindfuck is that you spend five minutes looking at the damn thing in a vain attempt to find something out of the ordinary. A while back, I looked at the most interesting Mindfucks I could find and tried my best to find the mindfuck in them. It was a popular post, so I'm doing it again.
Here's the best of the latest set of mindfuck posters; I'll tell you whether there's anything in them or not, and where to look if you want to. As usual, some of them are kinda creepy. Some of them are lame. Some may have nothing at all.
Confirmed MindfucksIn all cases, scroll down slowly if you want to try to look for yourself before I tell you what's in it, since I've left you a bit of whitespace in between the image and the spoiler. At the end, there are some images where I couldn't find the mindfuck, but maybe you can see them. As usual, if you can't see the images, that means your connection has blocked theferrett.com, my home domain - and if you want me to analyze other mindfucks for a future post, feel free to send me a link!

If you look in the windows on the right-hand side, in the second non-stained glass window, there's a deathlike face and hand pressing against the window. Pretty creepy!

You're probably looking all around the room, trying to see something secret, but the trick is that the girl actually has six fingers. This is most likely ripped off from a rather famous art error on the loading screen of GTA IV.

There's a guy, hanging off a rope that's tied around his waist, looking down. Basically, if you follow the tree trunk straight up until it just branches on the left, you'll see where he's standing. This one took me a long while to spot, but my wife saw it right away, so Lord knows how obvious this is.

The mindfuck is not in the disturbingly Benet-Ramsayed girls here, but rather in the fact that everyone's favorite 4chan gag Pedobear is looking in through the upper window on the left. He's very hard to see - I had to tilt my laptop monitor to find him, others may have to adjust their brightness - but he is there.

Not really brick-shitting, but there's a white mouse hidden in the sushi at the top of the plate.

The tag line on this one should be, "When you see it, if you're really familiar with manga, you may shit bricks." There's nothing hidden in the image itself; rather, OMG, there's a character in a brown suit with a notebook. And in Death Note, there's a character who can cause the death of anyone by writing it in his notebook. Or so I'm told. I don't read manga or watch anime, dude.

There are two faces in the fishes in this obviously-Photoshopped image (hell, the "Club Med" tag is still in the image, marking it as an advertisement). The first is right underneath the diver's legs at the top center; the legs are in the middle of the forehead. The second is on the right; the legs of the kicking diver on the right-hand center side form the right eye, and the diver below him forms the mouth. It's heavily Photoshopped, but nicely done!

Again, a pretty easy one; there's a face in the sesame seeds on the bun.

Is there anyone who didn't spot this right away? The tree is a lady, with the closed legs at the bottom of the image working up to the face at the top. Nice try, ent.

Guy's head is poking out of the bottom of the cellar, with glowing eyes, on the right-hand side. Creepy, but not particularly hard to find.

Heh. This image from one of my favorite games, Bioshock, has nothing hidden in it, but the image looks a lot like the infamously foul Internet image Goatse. I've linked to the Wikipedia entry, but don't say I didn't warn you about the content if you're not used to nasty men.

...and another hidden Goatse from Zelda. The question is whether the designers put these in on purpose. Probably not, but it's still funny.

The image in the "mirror" has different-colored chairs from the image in the room, and is in fact another room entirely.

CONFIRMED by mcsnee! If you look in the negative space between the tree and the rocks, there's a baby. The feet are curled up in the weird angles of the tree trunk on the right-hand side, the hands are grasping up in the middle, and the face is on the left. I knew there was something here...Mindfuck through Gullibility?I've looked at these images, and I don't see anything in them, so I think they're just fucking with me. If you see anything, tell me in the comments a) which picture it is, and b) be as specific as possible about where you see anything, and if I see it too I'll move it on up to the "confirmed" section. (If you can, circle the area with MS Paint or something to prove it.) In the meantime, you folks who put generic stock photos on a "Mindfuck" image can feel happy that idiots everywhere are wasting their time scouring it for nothing.
Family at Xmas
(NOTE: There is what appears to be an eye at the top of the Christmas tree. If that's all there is, this is lame. Also, if it's that the guy's picking up the baby by its crotch? Super-fucking lame.)
Woods

Creepily-Young Girl

(If it's the placement of the umbrella, making it kind of look like she has a tail, again... LAME.)
(EDIT: There is a ferret in the cabinet - and I do love ferrets - just to the left of the vase of flowers to the right of the umbrella. But you know, I'm not considering that brick-shitworthy, and so even though it's there I'm hoping there'ssomething more. Plus, that could just be a statue.)

My money is one the placement of the hand of the person holding the child. Kind of like that one women with the skirt in the last set.

I see what looks like eyes in the far upper left corner of the window. Still, pretty lame.

the chair picture isn't a mirror - it's glass doors into another room. The furniture placement is totally different, with windows on the wrong wall, different light fixtures, a file cabinet, draperies, as well as different color chairs. Looks like a pic of a furniture showroom.
I was just about to comment on it being a window not a mirror which to me makes it a little less mindfucky.

Some YouTube videos are over 10 minutes long. I've seen them go over 40 minutes, even.

Trees by the Sea: The whitespace makes the outline of a fetus. (Tree on the right outlines the baby's feet; its head is at the left of the picture.)

Yeah, I can see that easily now that you mention it.
... on the "mirror" one, with the chairs of a different colour: it's actually another room, with glass doors. The light fixture is different as well.

The one you can't see, the tree one, is a fetus. On its back, head to the left, the tree itself makes up the feet. It is the white space that is the fetus, the tree/ground is the outline.
As for the face at the bottom of the stairs in the cellar one, wasn't that a really creepy website and for some reason the Aphex Twin come to mind (maybe music from on the site or something?)

Dude, I can't believe you missed this, but in hte YouTube image, there person is USING VISTA! Here, I thought it was a myth.
+1 to the tree fetus, of course. that's one of my favorites, because it took me forever.
As for the girl on all fours (seriously, how can you see anything else?) I've heard there's an animal in the cabinet, but I can't really see it.
I think the "animal" might be the faint cat or large bird looking shape between the umbrella and the vase of purple flowers.
The "Trees By the Sea" one has a foetus framed by the shapes of the trees and shoreline.
Possibly "Family at Xmas" is just the creepy way the guy on the right is grabbing the baby's crotch?
No idea about the others!
Ah, should have checked other comments first. Sorry!

Maybe the mindfuck is that she's underage, and you'll get no sleep in that what you first see are the breasts and the back, and then you look at her face and it's a mindfuck because you realize she's a child? Or am I not playing this game right?
The Youtube one - I thin it's that it looks like the person has a leg instead of an arm?
Also, tree-fetus == creepy.

I'm going to guess that the Zelda screencap was not put in on purpose... The Legend of Zelda is a SNES game from 1990.
I'm well aware. But I like to think that game designers can see the future.

family at Xmas: theres a creapy looking reflection to the left of the angel that doesn't look like it would line up with it. IE. creepy ghost face thingy.
Woods: Naked looking girl that sort of blends in with the colors. 3/4 of the way up the picture on the left of the creek above the brush pile. Brownish looking person.

I don't see the person in the woods one.
The Death Note one is hysterically funny. I wonder if it's a still from the live-action movie, because it looks quite exactly like the anti-hero there. (My roommate was addicted enough to the show to watch said movie before the fan-subtitlers got around to it. As this was in our studio apartment days, I therefore also got to see bits and pieces.)
Without being intimately familiar with your taste in books/et cetera, I do think you'd enjoy the concept if it were presented properly in a format you liked. The protagonist (and anti-hero) Light is a brilliant high school boy who happens to pick up the dropped notebook of a death god, which can kill without an apparent connection to the victim. He decides that he will create a perfect, utopic society by killing off all the scum of society. The police, however, figure out something is fishy with all these convicted and suspected criminals dropping dead all of a sudden, take a dim view of this, and call in (crazy, reclusive) genius detective L to help them, because clearly no one else can. Oh, and the chief of police is Light's father. Plot twists and hijinks ensue, as Light slowly but surely loses his grasp on reality.
Definitely not a still from the live action movie (though, you should check out the movies if you can: they came out for a limited run in a few theaters, so I could imagine they'll be out on DVD soon enough).
I do love Deathnote, but I'm increasingly disappointed by the fandom that's reduced such an interesting storyline to endless bouts of UST between the main characters >_<;;
There seems to be some sort of figure in the background, like a ghost or something. Mostly lame?
Aaand, sorry to multiple-reply, but it looks like the reflection of grandma's hair in the Christmas photo, you can see what looks somewhat like the distorted face of Brian Peppers (not for the weak of stomach?). Or, it could be the creepy guy holding the oblivious baby. Not too freaky, either way, since you'd only make out the face if you had ytmnd-obsessed friends throwing links at you all the time @_@;;
For the jailbait girl, I've heard that the mindfuck is the bottle of ketchup that's in the cabinet for some reason.
It doesn't make me shit bricks, though.
I'm pretty sure that's grenadine or some sort of mixer. That makes a little more sense to have in a cabinet.

I love these things. ^_^
The Christmas one, the top of the tree forms a face with a mustache. Two eyes, with red-bow eyebrows. Dunno if that's the point, though.

Funny thing, I Stumbled came across a page with a bunch of these, and was thinking to myself, "I don't get half of these, I wish Ferrett would do another bunch of them..."
Now, when I saw you did, I didn't shit bricks, but I was mildly amused.
It's odd the third one down - the bloke in the tree - has a man in it, because I was sure I saw a skull. Outlined very poorly here - you can't really see the nose or all of the jawline, but I'm sure it's there. The tree-climber is the eye socket.

The first thing I noticed is the two "glowing eyes" looking down from the trunk of the tree, right about where the back corner of the jaw is in your circling. Looks kind of like a jawa looking down out of the tree.
I love the Mindfuck posters. I've found the TARDIS and a Dalek in the trees posters from your previous post.
First mindfuck - look at the kid on the far left. He doesn't have any legs.
And what caught my attention about the Pedobear one is the fact that the girl in blue is huge compared to the girl in red.

Look above the "N" in MIND GAMES. I see the head of a white snake slithering down the poster.
Not a Mindfuck in the traditional sense, but this one did get me.
And then there's this one. |
