Do you really think it's acceptable to proposition total strangers? Do you think that's freedom of speech is? Okay, sure, you can ask me anything you want. But it would be very rude of you, and not a little bit skeevy, and I have the right to tell you that.

It is not "entitled" of me to assert the dignity and autonomy of my body or my person. I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Your body and your person are, in fact, autonomous. I have absolutely no problem with you asserting, maintaining, or even forcibly defending that. I think you're being ridiculous, though, when you claim that a frank expression of sexual interest violates either autonomy.

I've been randomly propositioned, and I felt it was ill-advised, because it was by people I didn't find attractive. You get that when you hang out with swingers, though. I didn't find it offensive, though it was bewildering the first couple of times it happened, and anyone who takes a polite "no" with grace has not harmed me in any material or even psychosocial way.

I've been in swing situations. That is a specifically sexual space that you go into voluntarily. It is inappropriate in a general public space.

I know swingers. I wasn't talking about being in a swing setting. I'm sorry if I was unclear, but please don't let that diminish the seriousness of my agog confusion that you would take offense to a polite expression of interest.
