Some Days, I Love Life Today's download on Rock Band? Absolutely free?
"Still Alive," by GlaDOS.
Damn right I played it right away. With my wife. Good song, fun to play, unfortunately it takes forever for the bass to kick in. But by God, I'm gonna have fun singing it.
Jonathan Coulton now. When do we get They Might Be Giants? Come on, folks.

Ann could DEFINITELY be the protagonist singing "Skullcrusher Mountain". I think that alone will probably sell a thousand units. I just ordered mine, so that's one. :) It would have been awesome if it were "Never Gonna Give You Up". Heh. Damn, that *would* be awesome. *imagines playing "Bird House in your Soul" on Rock Band and promptly falls over* TMBG might have to wait for the accordion attachment. Which may not be long after the keyboard attachment.
Mmm...keyboards. Suddenly a whole new world opens up when you can use keyboards for your rock band. Prog rockers will rejoice.
Dear lord, a thought: Jazz Band. Piano, Saxophone, Drums, Bass. Classic jazz tunes, from Ellington and Basie to Coletrane to Davis and even throw in some Kenny G if you really have to - but I don't think you need to go that far.
The Activision folks came up with the Aerosmith box set. How much do you think the holders of the Beatles library is waiting for for the Beatles catalog for GH or Rock Band?
Yes Band. I see a great need. I heard Roundabout on the way home yesterday, and there's some guitar work, and some bass and some drum work in there that would kick-ass for Rock Band - in both senses of the expression. But until they allow for keyboards, it's probably not feasible.
My initial thoughts beyond Yes were ELP, and then I got to thinking about Styx. "Blue Collar Man" is designed for just such a game - with keyboards.
We can't have been the only people thinking about this. It's actually rather obvious. I just wonder how far along the development cycle it actually is.

THANK YOU for posting about this. I never would have known, and that song is perhaps my favorite moment in video-gaming EVER. So what you're saying is that the posting of Still Alive for free was a triumph? Even... a huge success? Well, he DID make a note here. You saying that makes me happy. I really can't overstate my satisfaction. We do what we must because we can. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/8998562/1520447) | | From: | darlox |

I think I want to come over and see that, just so I can hear you sing the words "It's so delicious and moist" in the context of an XBox game... ;)
That might make me find a way to play Rock Band. SWEET.
Have you heard "The Device Has Been Modified"? Awesome. I always thought that song particularly lends itself to being game-sung. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/54090116/7987838) | | From: | n9uxu |
