Personally, my baseline Scotch is Bowmore. Smooth, hint of sweetness, hint of smoke. Good stuff.

It's enjoyable stuff, and priced similarly to Johnny Walker Black. It's not Glenlivet but honestly I'm surprised it's not more popular.

Heh, that's precisely what I liked about it. It tasted to me like the perfect Scotch for having a cigar or pipe in front of the fireplace, with the dog next to me :)
